Canadian oil giant Enbridge is moving forward with a contentious construction project to re-route their 73-year-old Line 5 pipeline in northern Wisconsin, despite missing approvals, multiple lawsuits, and in late August, causing the largest oil and gas spill in state history. Unicorn Riot has been on the ground since 2023 providing coverage of this environmental project and its impacts on nearby Indigenous people, including the Bad River Band of Anishinaabe.
